It Started with DGA

In the beginning, the Sensei Solution managed DGA monitoring data.  We discovered that while working with the DGA monitors, our clients came to us and asked if we could manage other IED’s within the substation.  As we grew our knowledge base within the yard, we configured other legacy devices, and were able to pull the data from these disparate devices.

In addition to the data collection and aggregation functionality, we realized that there was a need for this information to be balanced, weighted and configured in ways that would allow the utility asset management team the opportunity to use this data and more effectively manage their asset fleets.

From GSU’s to Instrument Transformers to switches, breakers and battery bank monitors, Sensei allows the team to manage and create the necessary criteria for alerts, and provides the tools to notify and interface with the enterprise.  This gives your utility the benefit of knowledge and resources that may not be readily available to address every issue in the field, but rather, the capability to use that knowledge and experience to get the benefits of greater asset life, more time for critical project issues and a more practical approach to asset management long-term.

Condition based monitoring is becoming the new “normal” and has created a more robust, reliable approach to asset management - and Sensei provides an end-to-end solution to manage that “new” paradigm.  Run-to-death no longer needs to be the standard!
